2026 Annual Report

Prism United’s 2025-26 Annual Report tells a story of belonging and becoming. Belonging is where the journey begins; becoming is what grows from it. This year, program attendance grew 27% as young people found community, built confidence, developed leadership skills, and contributed 444 hours of service. We launched Prism Pathways, extending our core programs through age 24, and expanded access to affirming mental health care through a growing network of providers. At the same time, Prism strengthened the systems and strategies that will carry this work forward. Because when young people have a place to belong, they have room to become.

2026 Annual Report

The Alabama Inclusion Project published Appendix Q, an LGBTQ+ Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA), in September 2026 to better understand the healthcare needs and experiences of LGBTQ+ people in Southwest Alabama. Based on responses from 488 LGBTQ+ individuals, the assessment identifies gaps in HIV/STI prevention awareness and screening, as well as elevated psychological distress among adolescents and younger adults. The report provides critical local data on LGBTQ+ health disparities while addressing a broader gap in traditional community health assessments, where sexual orientation and gender identity data are often absent.
