Prism Fairhope

. . . the community’s need to support it’s LGBTQ youth.

Prism United Fairhope’s primary focus is on serving our LGBTQ+ youth through our Prism Teens programming.

Currently, Prism United Fairhope is working closely with the Mobile Teen Program directors to offer a variety of virtual programming to teens ages 14-18.  We look forward to returning to safe, in-person gatherings soon.

If you are a teen ages 14-18 and would like to join our programming, or if you are the parent or guardian of someone who might like to attend, contact us at

Increasing Visible Support

We also serve our LGBTQ+ youth by increasing the amount of visible support they see in Fairhope and the surrounding communities.  For this reason, Prism United Fairhope attends community events, like Fairhope’s monthly Art Walk, and encourages members of the community to show their support with a stickers, buttons, or flags.

In June of 2021, we hosted Color Fairhope with Pride, the town’s first public Pride celebration.  The all-ages event, tailored to appeal to the area’s family-friendly demographic, was very well received by the community.   We are already planning for next year.

We also engage in direct conversation with community groups through Site Director Sarah Fischer’s presentation on Supporting Fairhope’s LGBTQ+ Youth Out Loud.  If you are interested in having Sarah speak at your gathering, contact us at

Your Support

From the beginning, our foundation has been a strong community of support for our LGBTQ+ youth and the work we do to serve them.

We could not exist without the volunteers who Get Involved and the donors who Give and everyone who offers support in other ways.  If you would like to discuss a specific way of supporting Prism United Fairhope and our community’s LGBTQ+ youth, please contact us at

Prism United responds to the comprehensive needs of LGBTQ youth. Specifically, Prism works to mitigate the psychological, socio-economic, and academic disadvantages caused by repression and victimization.
