Announcing the release of our 2024 Annual Report!

This year’s edition showcases the incredible growth, impact, and resilience of Prism United as we continue to empower LGBTQ+ youth in southwest Alabama. Welcome Will Ballard!

Meet Will Ballard, our new Outreach and Volunteer Coordinator! Curious about the person behind the role? Here’s a little more about Will:

Will is a Mobile native and former theater kid, looking to channel his passions into advocacy. A strong believer in the power of stories, he’s helped bring Prism Teens in-person Dungeons and Dragons to life as a way to help them express their creativity, ingenuity, and as an excuse for him to do silly voices. In his spare time, Will enjoys making people laugh, drinking too much coffee, and making a new Spotify playlist for literally every occasion. Will believes with all his heart in the philosophy of “Never too late to start over.”

Allyship Panel

A huge thank you to our incredible panelists—David Chatel, LoRen Modisa, Nadine Andrews, and Suzanne Cleveland—who joined us for a powerful discussion on allyship. The evening was filled with inspiring quotes, like this one from Prism Board member, LoRen: “You are the authority on you.” Her words offered to inspire young LGBTQ+ youth to step into their truth with confidence.

This event was part of our celebration of International Allyship Day, and we are grateful to all who came out to support and learn about the importance of allyship in our community.
