Dress Code
Dress codes are for school proms. Do what feels good. Anything from formal to casual attire is fine with us. If you want to get creative, go for it. It’s a queer prom, after all.
That said, for the safety and sustainability of the event, outfits that exhibit explicit language and outfits that could be considered provocative are prohibited. If you have any questions about this, shoot us an email at [email protected], and we’d be happy to clarify.

Rules and Expectations
- Arrive sober. You must enter the event free of drugs or alcohol—let’s keep the vibe safe and positive.
- No drugs, alcohol, or vapes. Keep it clean—illegal substances aren’t allowed.
- No re-entry. Once you’re in, you’re in! If you leave, you won’t be allowed back in. If there’s an emergency, find a Prism Prom volunteer for help.
- Bag check required. Backpacks, fanny packs, camera cases, and other bags must be checked in upon entry—no exceptions.
- Coat check recommended. If your jacket is part of your outfit and you prefer to keep it on, security will need to inspect it first.
- Respect personal space. No roughhousing or inappropriate touching—let’s keep it fun and respectful for everyone.
- Kind words only. Hate speech, bullying, or offensive language toward anyone won’t be tolerated.
- Respect privacy. No filming or photography without consent. You’ll pick a bracelet at check-in to show if you’re okay with being photographed—everyone is expected to respect that choice.
- Treat everyone with respect. Be kind to fellow attendees, volunteers, and everyone at the event.
- Volunteers are here to help! If you have any questions or concerns, find a Prism Prom volunteer. They’re here for you.
- Follow the rules or you may be asked to leave. These guidelines are in place to keep the night safe and fun for everyone!
Security
Hired security and Prism volunteers will be present throughout the event to ensure a safe and welcoming environment.
Registration & Tickets
Registration is required to attend Prism Prom. Whether reserving for yourself or a prom date, each attendee must have their own reservation. A maximum of two tickets can be purchased at once.
Tickets are $20 per person and can be paid for electronically in advance or with cash at the event. Proceeds help cover prom expenses.

Once you reserve a ticket, your name will be added to the Prism Prom guest list. No physical or digital ticket is needed for entry—just check in with us upon arrival, and we’ll welcome you in!
