For one glorious afternoon, Downtown Mobile will once again be taken over by towering wigs, questionable fashion choices, and a community ready to show up for LGBTQ+ young people.
Wig Walk returns for its fourth annual strut on Saturday, October 24, and after raising an incredible $46,000 last year, we’re going for something we’ve never done before: Prism United’s first-ever $50,000 fundraiser.
And reaching that milestone matters. Prism is a community-powered organization. We receive no federal funding, which means events like Wig Walk, and the people who show up for them, help keep our spaces accessible, our programs free, and affirming support within reach for LGBTQ+ young people across our region.
So yes, it’s big, campy, and joyfully over the top. But underneath all that hair is a community investing in young people and the future they deserve.
Because the hair may only last for one glorious afternoon, but what we’re building for young people is meant to last.

Grab your crew or shine on your own, just don’t forget your wig! Spend the afternoon sampling bubbles, brews, and bites in Downtown Mobile while raising critical funds for LGBTQ+ youth.
You can support Prism United in two exciting ways through Give Lively fundraising:
1. TEAM UP & COMPETE FOR THE CROWN
Gather your friends, family, co-workers, chosen family (or whoever can handle the assignment) and build your Wig Walk team. Create a team fundraising page on Give Lively, set your goal, and start rallying your people.
Every team member can earn free Wig Walk tickets as you fundraise, and teams will compete for Wig Walk Awards, bragging rights, and their moment of glory at the After Party.
2. FUNDRAISE YOUR WAY – SOLO STYLE
More of a solo act? Create your own Give Lively fundraising page and rally your friends, family, and network behind your strut.
And because fabulousness deserves recognition, our top individual fundraiser will take home a special Wig Walk Award at the After Party.

When you fundraise, you don’t just help provide safe, affirming spaces and life-saving resources for LGBTQ+ youth. You can earn your way into the event for free!
Both individuals and teams are welcome to participate!
Raise $200 → 2 free tickets
Raise $500 → 5 free tickets
Raise $1,000 → 10 free tickets

Wig Walk is Prism United’s annual fundraising pub crawl through Downtown Mobile, where big wigs meet an even bigger purpose. Participants make their way between participating businesses for brews, bubbles, bites, and plenty of fun all while raising funds to support LGBTQ+ young people.

Technically? No. Spiritually? Absolutely.
Big, small, glamorous, ridiculous, homemade, borrowed? All wigs are welcome here. Come as you are, but we highly encourage getting wigged out for the occasion.
Your ticket gets you access to the Wig Walk experience, including stops at participating Downtown Mobile businesses and admission to the official After Party. Additional details about participating locations, drinks, bites, and the route will be announced as we get closer to October 24.
No! You can purchase a ticket and join the fun without fundraising.
But if you want to put your wig to work, you can create an individual fundraising page or start a team. You can even earn free Wig Walk tickets as you fundraise.
Raise funds for Prism United before Wig Walk and unlock tickets along the way:
$200 raised → 2 free tickets
$500 raised → 5 free tickets
$1,000 raised → 10 free tickets
Because Wig Walk is a pub crawl and some participating venues are 21+, participants must be 21 or older to take part in the Wig Walk route.
The good news? The After Party is all ages! You don’t have to participate in the pub crawl to join us afterward, so friends, family, and younger supporters are welcome to come celebrate with us.
Absolutely! You don’t have to drink to Wig Walk. Alcohol-free options will be available along the route, so you can sip, strut, and enjoy the full experience without alcohol.
Whether you’re sober, sober-curious, the designated driver, or simply not drinking that day, there’s still plenty of Wig Walk fun to be had.
