Our First Annual Wig Walk
Lace Up and Strut Your Stuff
Prism United invites you to lace up and strut your stuff for our first annual Wig Walk, a joyful jaunt to build community between Mobilians and local businesses and generate excitement about Prism’s forthcoming Capital Campaign.
On September 30, 2023, participants will take to the streets of downtown Mobile for an afternoon of bubbles, brews, and bites, culminating in a vibrant After Party with live music and local vendors. The event will introduce the community to Prism’s latest undertaking: acquiring a building to serve housing-insecure LGBTQ+ youth in Lower Alabama.
Come With a Team or Fly Solo
Build a Wig Walk squad with family and friends or join as a scene-stealing standalone as you don a wig and sample some of the choice tastes and toasts in downtown Mobile, all while promoting a fantastic cause. Teams will get to compete in our Wig Walk Awards—we’ll announce trophies at the After Party event stage.

What's the purpose of the Wig Walk?

Is this an all-ages event?
Those under the age of 21 are welcome to join us at Oyster City Brewing Company where yard games, facepaint, and other exciting activities await!
Can I bring my child with me?
Your child is welcome to join us at the After Party! Folks under legal drinking age aren’t allowed to join us on the Pub Crawl (because they can’t enter the bars!).
Will there be food?
Yes! Along with free “bites” for ticket holders, there will also be a couple of food trucks at the After Party.
Does my team need to register?
As long as everyone on your team has purchased a ticket, the team name doesn’t need to be registered. With that said, we might post a couple team challenges before the event on our social media pages, so stay tuned for opportunities to compete for a Wig Walk trophy!
