A visionary public health leader and long-term HIV survivor, Dr. Shey Thorn has expanded access to care across the Deep South through equity-driven leadership. His work has advanced HIV services, launched critical health initiatives, and strengthened community-based care for those most impacted.
Rev. Marge Ragona
A lifelong advocate for justice and inclusion, Rev. Marge Ragona has spent decades creating spaces of belonging for LGBTQ+ people. From founding affirming faith communities to leading care efforts during the AIDS crisis, her legacy is one of compassion, courage, and creative ingenuity.
Kelmyah Turner
A bold organizer and advocate for Black trans liberation, Kelmyah Turner is redefining community care in Alabama. As the founding Executive Director of The Black Butterfly Collective, she leads with vision, building spaces rooted in healing, mutual aid, and justice.
