Wig Out to Lift Up LGBTQ+ Youth
Prism United’s third annual Wig Walk hits the streets of Downtown Mobile on Saturday, October 11, 2025, and this year, it’s about more than just outrageous wigs and downtown fun.
Right now, LGBTQ+ youth are facing unprecedented challenges. Safe, affirming spaces aren’t just important: they’re lifesaving. Every step you take and every dollar you raise powers Prism United’s programs, providing mental health resources, support groups, and hope for hundreds of young people in Mobile and Baldwin Counties.
And yes, we need the joy, too. Wig Walk is our chance to show up boldly, joyfully, and together as we fill Downtown Mobile with bubbles, brews, bites, and big wigs, all leading up to a vibrant After Party at Braided River Brewing Company.
Whether you strut solo or roll deep with your crew, you’ll be changing lives and having a blast doing it.

Grab your crew or shine on your own—just don’t forget your wig! Spend the afternoon sampling bubbles, brews, and bites in Downtown Mobile while raising critical funds for LGBTQ+ youth.

Gather your friends, family members, or co-workers and form a team! Compete for one-of-a-kind Wig Walk Awards and bragging rights announced live at the After Party stage. - FUNDRAISE YOUR WAY – SOLO STYLE
Create your own fundraising page on Give Lively and share it with friends, family, and co-workers. Spread the word, rally your network, and raise funds that directly support LGBTQ+ youth in our community.
The highest individual fundraiser will receive a special Wig Walk Award, presented live at the After Party!

Here’s how it works:
When you fundraise, you don’t just help provide safe, affirming spaces and life-saving resources for LGBTQ+ youth. You can earn your way into the event for free!
Both individuals and teams are welcome to participate!
Raise $200 → 2 free tickets
Raise $500 → 5 free tickets
Raise $1,000 → 10 free tickets

Wig Walk is a joyful community celebration and fundraiser for Prism United, fueling life-saving programs for LGBTQ+ youth in southwest Alabama. It’s wigs, joy, and togetherness—all for a fabulous cause.
Those under the age of 21 are welcome to join us at the After Party where a vendor market, yard games, facepaint, and other exciting activities await!
Your child is welcome to join us at the After Party! Folks under legal drinking age aren’t allowed to join us on the Pub Crawl (because they can’t enter the bars!).
Yes! Along with free “bites” for ticket holders, there will also be a couple of food trucks at the After Party.
As long as everyone on your team has purchased a ticket, the team name doesn’t need to be registered. With that said, we might post a couple team challenges before the event on our social media pages, so stay tuned for opportunities to compete for a Wig Walk trophy!
