Each event folder you’re about to open represents a space where LGBTQ+ people are centered, celebrated, and supported. Whether you’re joining us on the dance floor, under the stage lights, at the gala, or on the walk route, these are moments you won’t want to miss.

📁 PRISM PROM: An LBGTQ+ Prom for High-Schoolers

For many LGBTQ+ teens, school proms come with limitations: you can attend, but not always as your full, authentic self, or with the date of your choice. What should be a milestone moment can instead feel isolating, leaving young people on the outside of a night meant to celebrate them.

Prism Prom rewrites that program.

This is a radiant evening where LGBTQ+ youth can log into a space created entirely for them, rooted in acceptance, joy, and belonging. Here, authenticity isn’t restricted or questioned; it’s celebrated. Surrounded by peers who understand and support them, teens are free to show up exactly as they are.

In 2026, Prism Prom ascends with Night on Olympus: a mythic, celestial celebration where queer youth take their place among the gods. Expect drama, elegance, power, and radiance worthy of the heavens. It is guaranteed to be a night of legend.

📁 BENT BROADWAY: Classic Broadway Reimagined Beyond Gender

At Bent Broadway, performers step into the spotlight to deliver beloved musical theater classics reimagined with a bold, gender-bending twist. Expect laughter, tender moments, and performances that challenge expectations while celebrating authenticity. This is musical theater untethered from tradition and bursting with queer creativity.

Set to return in May 2026, this event holds a special place in Prism United’s origin story. Bent Broadway was the fundraiser that helped launch Prism in 2018 and it continues to power our mission today, supporting LGBTQ+ youth, families, and community year after year.

📁 COME OUT MOBILE: A Gala to Celebrate Local Trailblazers

The Come Out Mobile Gala is an annual celebration that brings together Mobile’s LGBTQ+ community to honor trailblazers, amplify local leadership, and strengthen the connections that sustain us.

In 2024, the gala deepened this mission through Prism’s Trailblazer Initiative, featuring short-form videos that spotlighted impactful LGBTQ+ leaders across southwest Alabama. Shared in the weeks leading up to the event and honored on stage, these stories transformed celebration into advocacy. The initiative will continue annually, building an archive that preserves local LGBTQ+ history and uplifts the voices shaping our community.

With powerful storytelling, entertainment, and shared moments of recognition, Come Out Mobile stands as a statement of pride, presence, and progress.

We’re excited to share that the 2026 Come Out Mobile Gala will once again take place at The Locale, providing the perfect setting for a night of connection and celebration.

📁 WIG WALK: A LODA Pubcrawl with Wigs

Wig Walk is one of Prism United’s largest annual fundraisers: a joyful, wig-powered stroll through Downtown Mobile that brings together community members and local businesses for an afternoon of connection and celebration. Expect bubbles, brews, and bites along the route, all leading to a high-energy After Party complete with live music and local vendors.

Come as a squad or make a statement solo. Whether you’re walking with friends and family or serving a scene-stealing look on your own, Wig Walk invites everyone to show up loud, playful, and proud.
